Background
Due to the generic design of the ceiling and portable hoist, we have been able to produce a universal hoist manufactured from components that are common to both hoists. Consequently, we have reduced the manufacturing and servicing costs.
Taxi Design
The distincive shape of the hoist is due to the lift motors, which are housed in each of the tubes. Both motors work together to produce a lifting capacity of up to 250kgs. The aluminium chassis design provides a very strong and lightweight frame. The taxi and Jet-Pac hoist have been designed and built to give good access for repair and maintenance. As there are no welds, all of the components can be dismantled and recycled. All Taxi celiing hoists have the capability of being upgraded for future requirements, making them ideal for reinstallations.
Lifetime Monitoring System
Each hoist is equipped with a data-logging device which records the working operation of the hoist. For instance, the device records each time the hoist lifts with a load and how many times the hoist is charged. It also records any instances where the maximum load limit is exceeded. This data is used to inform the operator when the hoist requires a service which is indicated by the change in the colour of the LED. The service department will then download this data on to a laptop to produce an analysis profile for the hoist.
